Charging at home is the most convenient way to keep an electric vehicle ready. It also means you rely less on public charging stations. A charger needs the right circuit, and that depends on your panel, your wiring, and where you want the unit. We look at your garage and your electrical panel, then install the charger and the circuit that serves it. If your panel does not have the capacity, we can talk through an upgrade or a sub panel as part of the job. We have installed wall-mounted chargers and Tesla charging stations in homes in our area. Do I need a panel upgrade to install an EV charger?
Not always. It depends on how much capacity your panel has left. We check it first and tell you if an upgrade or sub panel is needed.
Can you install a Tesla charger?
Yes. We have installed Tesla charging stations as well as other wall-mounted EV chargers.
Where is the charger installed?
Most customers choose the garage, mounted on a wall near where the car parks. We will talk through placement and the cable run during the estimate.
